Who has dealt with it or is currently dealing with it? Just curious.

Do you mean postpartum depression? I had it with my third baby but it spiraled downward and got worse when he was about a year old. I've dealt with depression issues ever since but am doing ok now. He's 6. It's been rough at times.

I had it after my first. My mother died when my second was 6 weeks old, so who knows if I had ppd or just epic grief. Both times were rough.

I let my ppd go untreated, although I was on a low dose anti depressant that really did nothing. My child is 16 months now and I feel as though I missed out on that first year of bonding and feeling joy. Actually, I look back now and the first year was a blur. I was just too depressed to really take an interest in all the fun baby things most moms experience with their child. If there is one thing I could say to ANY mom out there who even thinks they might have PPD, it'd be please, please speak up to your doctor and get the correct treatment you need. Don't miss out on your own child like I did.
