My son grew from a size 8 last summer, to a size 12.

That is crazy to me.

I fully expected to find some shorts that still fit him.  But no, what was I thinking?

My boys do the same thing... They stay the same size for a while, and then BOOM grow like crazy in a couple months.

Ds still fits in most of his shorts from last summer, he is like DH, all upper body. He has been wearing a 10/12 shirt since he was 7

I know, he is only 8, will be 9 in September.

He's a giant! An expensive giant.

Yup....

My 7 year old jumped from Size 5 to Size 8 over the course of a year.....it's insane how fast they grow!

I love that my son is a skinny whinny!

He can technically wear 3T shorts in the waist but they look like boxers.
Seriously this just happened. I accidentally put my 2yos shorts in his dresser and he put them on and I got a really good laugh.

He wears a size 6 in jeans though.

But anyways I am so thankful that all of his shorts from the end of the year last year fit.

However I am a bad feeling that come winter his new jeans will be too short, this always seems to be our problem.

My DD did that last year. Towards the end of summer she was wearing a 5T. They were just starting to get small on her. So I went and bought fall clothes in 6's. The weather starts to turn and suddenly shes in 7/8's instead of the brand new 6's I had just bought.

My youngest did that once. She was starting to outgrow her 3t clothes in April so I bought her a bunch of summer dresses in 4t. By the end of June she was size 6. Money down the toilet!
