HELP!!! My 7 month old has been...

My DS turns 7 months old tomorrow. He has been extra sleepy the past 2 days. Any idea what the cause is?
He doesn't have any teeth yet, but it kinda feels like he is getting one. He's been drooling and chewing on stuff a lot. Can teething cause sleepiness?

He slept 9pm - 10:30 am (woke a few times to nurse) then took an hour nap at 12-1 then 3-5:30 and 6:30-7.

Growth spurt? Maybe he's not feeling well.

Yes. Teething can cause sleepiness.

Is it hot where you are? My boys would sleep more when they got out in the heat then come back in the cool house. Also, if he's cutting a tooth, that could totally be the cause. No worries mama, he's still very little and sleeping a lot sometimes is normal!

It could be a tooth. It also could be a growth spirt coming on (DS used to do this at that age right before a big one) or maybe he's coming down with something. If you are really worried I'd call the ped and get him seen to be safe)

Probably a growth spurt. No need to worry unless it lasts more than 2 weeks or so. Could be teething too.

Do you have a carbon monoxide detector?

If he is otherwise acting pretty normal I wouldn't worry too much.

Teething or a growth spurt would be my first guesses. Both of them, the body is basically gearing up for a big change and babies are frequently very sleepy, very hungry, or both.

I hate my mind. I would have thought about that too.

Sounds like he's teething. He could also be having a growth spurt at the same time, given all of the combined symptoms. That always made mine super sleepy, too.
