Has your kid ever said something that stopped you in your tracks?

Has your kid ever said something that stopped you in your tracks and made you have an "a-ha" moment or a wake-up call of sorts?

For example, things like:

"Mommy, you complain about your body all the time but your weight is just fine."

"You call yourself fat, so why can't I?"

"You and Daddy yell at each other, so why can't I yell too?"

Share with us the reality checks your kids gave you! Your answers could be used in The Stir.

"Are molecules alive?" from my 7 year old son.

I literally had no idea how to answer that one.

I told my mom as a kid:
Mommy I don't want you to die!
(While smoking a cigarette)
She quit that day.

My daughter asked me why I didn't think I was beautiful, when everyone says she looks just like me. She then said you always tell me how beautiful I am.

My daughter said this year for Christmas I'm going to ask Santa for you to have no more bumps on your face. I don't have bad acne but I guess my 5 year old thinks I do.

Yesterday we were fishing and we caught a crawdad my daughter would not touch it. I asked her why it will not hurt you she said because I'm a chicken shit. I had to turn away so she couldn't see my face.
