I have a friend and she posted on her Facebook page this. "So I know a lot of people won't be able to come to my baby shower but if you still want to get baby something I'm registered at babys r us and you can send it to my home! Also gift cards would be good and if you buy clothes 0-6,months will be winter clothing and 6-12months will be summer clothing" then it list her registry number and says "thanks people!!"

Is this rude or not?

She sounds a bit entitled. Like all she cares about is the gifts.

No. It's giving family and friends the info they need if they still want to buy a gift but can't make it to the shower.

Extremely rude to expect people to buy gifts. If they received invitations they are aware she is having a baby and will buy gifts if they want to.

It just seems rude to me. You should not expect people to bring you gifts. And to post on Facebook people send us gifts even if you don't come to the shower is rude to me.

I don't think its rude, she said 'if you want to get baby something'... she's not insisting on it.
