Omg my mom is an idiot

She's driving me crazy. My daughter is very colicky, so she's constantly crying. She's also really gassy. My mom keeps saying that she has to poop and I should give her a suppository. But, she's breastfed, and doesn't poop every day. She's tried to get me to give her a suppository five times today, but she will not listen to me. I'm going insane!

No. The doctor told me they can go up to 14 days without pooping, because there isn't much waste. They absorb everything.

Not always true. I've cared for many babies and seen EBF backed up 5 days.

Get some balloons or an enema/douche bag and fill with warm water - not too hot, and not too full. Lay her on her tummy on top of it. The warmth and pressure will help ease gas out.

If you've already discussed it with your doctor then tell your mom to step off

i breastfeed all of my kids and they go days inbetween pooping.. i tell her to stop and it aint happening. i'd give the baby some gas drops.... bicylce legs.... rub belly clockwise to help move the gas but other than that no.

I don't know much about bf babies or how they poop, but if she's annoying you that badly, tell her to go shove something up her own ass. lol

It's runny and looks normal, I guess. She's 7 weeks old, and has gained about 4 lbs since birth.
