Moms who work from home, what are some of the rudest (untrue) things anyone has ever said to you?

Moms who work from home, what are some of the rudest (untrue) things anyone has ever said to you? Do people think you save tons on childcare because you don't have to "go into an office?" What really bugs you?!

Why can't you pick this up/watch my child/help out with this? You can do whatever you want all day.

Get a real job/it's not a real job.

Working from home is lazy.

Real life never had anyone say but good things about it. On here you hear a ton of things.

I don't even work from home but just being self employed, people seem to think that it means I can just take off whenever I want & people used to ask me to babysit too. My kids are grown & I work full time, why would I watch kids?

The problem I have is that my family thinks I can drop everything to help them during business hours. They just don't understand that my job is just as important and theirs.

Nothing in real life.
Only on here about why kids still go to daycare, thinking it's not a real job.

I worked from home as a teenager and I would not be able to do it again without child care and an office. But what I was doing was over the phone customer service.

Since you work from home, your job is not real job.

I have the best of both worlds!   Whatever people say is out of pure jealously.  :)
