should I feel guilty?

My good friend, not BFF or anything just went to Disney world in april, and to a beach hotel last weekend....she also works full time.

I stay at home, and my only vacation is when we go home for Christmas. But my husband and I got an opportunity to go on a marriage retreat paid for by his work this weekend, so we jumped on the opportunity.

She kinda made a remark about how she'd love to go but it's probably all full.

I feel like she's trying to make me feel guilty. Ugh...I hate people.

I wouldn't think she was trying to make you feel guilty.

Why would you that she was trying to make you feel guilty?

Maybe not. Guess I'm being emotional.

I don't see how any of this would make you feel guilty.

It doesn't sound like she's trying to make you feel bad. Maybe she just really would like to go.

Sounds like it.
I would have responded with, you won't know unless you call them...
From what you said, it just sounded like she wants to go too :)

Thanks for the advice! :) really appreciate it! I just found a shady message my husband sent my friend on Facebook, so I'm all worked up. And feel like she's had plenty of vacation recently, while dh and I obviously need to go and learn from the chaplain. Ugh.

I wouldn't feel guilty. I'm sure she knew you would have loved to go to Disneyworld, when she went too. I bet she didn't feel guitly. Let her know, that this is from your husband's work, and you can't invite anyone. Don't feel guilty. She obviously has plenty of money to go a lot more than you or a lot of us do. I hope you go have fun.

That's no good. Hugs!!
Sounds like you may have been a little jealous of her trips so it made you feel like she was being a jerk.
Good luck with everything and I hope your trip helps you guys out!
