So the post about the doctor dropping her kid made me think, is all the information we are getting making us unable to make decisions?  In this case she doesn't want to vaccinate because she did some research on the internet and someone says it cause Autism.  Now most of us could spend a few seconds and completely prove this wrong.  I posted last fall about my husband who's an EMT was named in a lawsuit.  Someone had done research on home births and decided she wanted to deliver her child herself at home.  It turns out she had some major complications, she almost died and unfortunately her baby did die.  My husband was inches from this dying baby and probably could have saved him, but this woman was so dead set on not having any medical intervention because of what the internet said, that she lost her child.  Anyone can post anything online and call themselves an expert.  I think it's awesome that we live in an age where information is so readily available and I do believe people are making more informed decisions.  I think every parent has a right to decide what's best for their child.  But is too much information bogging us down and are we now relying on strangers to make decisions for us because they give a good speech online?

The thing is. There's also books. By doctors or about doctors saying they are against the vaccinations and they state WHY.

It reminds me of that car insurance commercial.... "They can't put something on the internet that's not real!" It makes my head hurt.

Credible sources. They exist. At one time it was perfectly acceptable to be self taught.

Though more awkward sounding, "stupider" is as correct as "more stupid".

What's the alternative?  To have the government censor shit? No thank you.

People are always going to make stupid decisions.  They did before the Internet and they will continue.
