Does this look appetizing?

Be honest... does this look any good? I posted this on Facebook and hubby commented saying he was so excited to come home and eat it. I thought it looked pretty good but it came out of the oven smelling nasty and tasted disgusting. I had to throw mine away and my kids cried when they tried it! LOL

I must not be skilled in the kitchen if I could fuck up such an easy assembly. MIL asked for some too. So maybe I'm a better photographer than I am cook? Looks can be deceiving. IDK I think imma tell him to stop for McDonalds on his way home.

My sister makes it and I've had it. It was pretty good. Not my thing really but good.

With crushed tomatoes? No, that doesn't look appetizing. Maybe with actual spaghetti sauce, and more layers?

No, it looks like it would be super easy to over cook. Im picky about my al dente pasta.

Are those fresh raviolis or store bought?

Nope but I don't like tomatoes. If that weren't the case, then it doesn't look bad. I can't imagine where you went wrong, judging from the pics. Was it lacking in flavor or did it actually have a bad flavor? Maybe try it next time with an actual sauce rather than crushed tomatoes? Though I sense there won't be a next time, lol.

I would say your problem was using tinned tomatoes instead of sauce.
Tinned tomatoes can be used to make sauce, but generally they're quite acidic and need to be balanced out with spices, herbs and sugar from other veggies (such as onion, carrot, zucchini and so on) so you don't use them as sauce.
