Do you deny food when you know your kids are just wanting to eat out of boredom?

Yup. I tell them to drink a cup of water. They get 3 meals and 2 snacks a day. They won't wither away.

No, but I only allow certain choices, like apples, nuts, etc.

Yup, I'm actually doing it right now. My dd has had so much food in the last two hours ans she's whining that she's hungry. She can chill.

That's what I do. ODD is eating carrot sticks right now, lol

I deny certain foods. He can have all the bananas, strawberries, raspberries, celery, carrot, cucumber, you get the idea, he wants.
