Last time I checked I didn't have to deposit a quarter or anything for milk to come out.

Yes. You can make your own reusable breast pads for even cheaper.

Between the pump, breast pads, nursing bras, storage bags, bottles, and TIME. No, it wasn't for me. 


(edited to add, since I've answered these a few times...I worked so yes, a pump was a necessity. Second, I tried to get it covered by my insurance but I none of the medical supply stores on the list given to me by my insurance would fill the prescription they said I needed to have one covered. So in reality they said they'd cover it and made it impossible to actually get one)
