So as some of you know, I found a ball type lump on Zanders hear, on the back of his skull. It was about pea sized, not visible, hard but also kind of soft, and seemed to move.
Well, its bothering him now. There is a bump now, kind of like its inflamed(sp?) And it's a wee bit bigger! :( he goes in immediately in the am tomorrow. So I will update after. Praying its nothing serious.

Well! When Zander was first born, I had him checked in for tongue and lip ties, my previous pediatrician assured me he was fine. I was looking at his teeth and bam! I noticed this! I believe it is a pretty bad lip tie. He will be 14 months on the 11th. Should I mention it to the doctor tomorrow or do I have to take him to a specialist? What do they do about it? I added a pic of his mouth and the spot where his lump is.

They either use surgical scissors or a laser.

I would mention it. It's an easy fix. Hopefully nothing is serious. Try and stay calm. And whatever you do STAY OFF GOOGLE. You will drive yourself nuts

I would mention it to the doctor and see what they say, they might even just send you to a specialist anyway.

That is a BAD lip tie. I took my daughter, at 2wks, to a pedi and she said DD had no lip or TT. Except her ties looked like this:

Pedi's are pretty clueless about this stuff (some, not all). You should be able to contact an ENT specialist in your area without a referral. I had DD's lasered but because of that her insurance wouldn't cover it. But it's the best way to fix it, so I paid for it.

PS No these are not my pics, but it is what DDs ties looked like.
