When I want or need to do something I just do it I say I'm leaving and DH and Dd will say "ok we love you bye "
But my friend has to beg her husband to babysit their son why is he babysitting his son that's his kid
I don't understand it I know 4 other moms that have to ask DH to watch the kids

What about you how is it in your family

I do not beg. I make sure my dh will be available and then say I am doing xyz.

I just say I'm leaving. Or tell him I'm going where ever I don't have to beg or ask.

I have to pretty much ask to get out of the house period. I never get out to just go for a walk because even when Dh is watching the kids he isn't really watching his eyes are on the video game he's playing. I never leave without them.

Well, first of all, they are his kids, it isn't babysitting.
That said, common courtesy, "the girls are getting together on X day do you have plans?"

We watch DS 50/50. Sometimes DF does a lot more than me, sometimes I do a lot more than him. DF is amazing with DS. If I'm going somewhere without them (which is rare) I just say "is it okay If I run to the store quickly?"

My dh doesn't babysit his own children he helps raise them,  if I had to ask him to babysit he wouldn't be my dh and we wouldn't have kids together.

What an awful way to have to live.

I always check with him to make sure he doesn't have plans or something, but it's his kid too. He is just as responsible for her as I am.
