because my dh put her cat down monday,he was having serious issues and dh took him to the vet. came to find out he had cancer and couldnt even eat,or breath properly,so he put the cat down. now dd is pissed at us because she wasnt able to be there and wont talk to us,she wont come out of her room unless we're in bed,or gone for the day,she lashes out at us and this morning i took dd's door off its hinges....shes getting out of hand....

dd is 16,not a child who wasnt allowed to go,she had the choice and chose something different

Why couldn't he wait to tell her and have her go?

How old is she? Sucks her cat died, but it happens.

You put her cat down without giving her an opportunity to be there and mourn?

What the fuck is wrong with you? How cruel and cold. Do you not like your own kid?

I can see both sides. Was it not possible for your dh to go back and get your daughter so she could be there with her cat to say good-bye?

Seeing as my parents did this to me with my car I had from 3 weeks until 11 years old, I can see your daughters POV.

At the very least, your DH could have called before he put the cat to sleep to let DD say goodbye.

And? He couldn't make one and then have her attend it?
