My kids (5 and 8) make their own breakfast and know not to wake me before 9

Call me terrible, but it's summertime!! Midday naps are gone, the kids are home which makes for a bunch more work, and DH and I still have to work our normal jobs. Im over it! Lol

Soooo...I told the kids not to wake me till after 9 (unless there's a problem), prepped a bunch of breakfasts (just to make it a lil easier for them), and told them it's time to start fending for themselves!!

Anyone else doing anything CM shame worthy this summer?

I hope you remembered to teach them how to put up a pot of coffee for you.

No, I'm not kidding.  100% serious.

I'm still in my PJ's. That's shame worthy according to many *yawn*

My kids fend for themselves for dinner, most nights.

Lol, I should!! I can remember being little and waking my mom up with a can of Diet Coke and a package of chocolate Pop Tarts. If I didn't bring them, she would send me to go get them while she got up to pee. I learned lol

For dinner? I'm not that daring yet...I don't trust them with the oven/stovetop yet. I'll just patiently wait for the day :)

My 10 year old makes breakfast for my 3 year old. They turn the tv on, eat and let me sleep in! Love it lol

I like to be up before them. 5 seems a little young for that.
