Dd is visiting her dad for a few weeks. She's 4. Over the weekend they went to the lake. Exmil had dd call me last night and exmil was telling me about dd riding on some kind of a hot dog raft being pulled by the boat. She said they taught dd how to signal to go faster, slow down and stop and hoe good she did.

So now over protective bitchy mom comes in... but really?? Who in their right mind would put a 4 yr old on a raft being pulled by a boat?? Am the only one seeing something wrong with this?

I love tubing.

If they were going slow enough I don't see an issue.

Not a big deal, they're pretty fun.

I took my 4 year old tubing last year, and we went over the hand signals too.  of course, I was on the tube with her, because I'm just not ready to toss her out there on her own yet.  and I deliberately fell off the tube every time I was on it by myself so they could see that it wasn't awful.

this year I'm dumping both of us.  both girls, one at a time, with momma will end up bouncing out of the tube.

We were in canoes, boats, rafts, etc. from the time we were born.  As long as she was wearing a life jacket, it is fine.

I'm assuming they aren't trying to make her catch air!  LOL

Lots of people.  I doubt they went fast enough to put her in danger and I'm sure she had a life jacket on.  It sounds like fun.
