How old was your child before the could properly dress themselves?

I don't mean matching, lol. I mean....right.

My niece is 5 and a half and EVERY SINGLE DAY when her mom drops her off, I have to help her get her pants/shorts AND panties on the right way. They're ALWAYS backward, and sometimes wrong side out as well.

My kids have been dressing themselves since 3.

My two yr old dresses herself every day, she even changes her undies if she has a little accident in them as well.

My 3.5 year old dresses himself correctly most of the time.  Sometimes he has trouble with shirts though.

5/6 or there abouts.  I have to still help my guy out with making sure things are on properly and he is way into adulthood.

It depends on how much I let them do it themselves. Those who I made the time available could do it by age 2 1/2 or so. But with child #4 I was out of time and patience. I think he was closer to 4 before he had it all right.

Both of my daughters could dress themselves by age 3. My youngest, who will be 4 in October, still has a little trouble with putting on her socks the right way. Half the time the heel of the sock ends up on top.

 LOL

I look at her and I'll say, "Are your shorts on backward?" Then she'll argue with me. I never checked her panties until she kept digging at her butt one day and saying, "These are too small!" So, I went to check the size and they were on backward too. So now, I just check them when she turns her pants around.
