My DD gets sick often. I'm not talking once in awhile, but every 2 weeks, shes sick.

When she started school I just sort of thought..her first time being in school, shes going to get sick a lot. it happens. It sucked, but she at that point wasn't really around a lot of other kids. Pre school happened and she got sick often.

Well......shes going into 3rd grade now and......She still sick ALL the time. Yes shes in public school and i know colds and stuff happens but its down right excessive to me. In the past, i think 2 years ago I brought it up to her old doctor and he just blew it off saying kids will be kids, they get sick.

But.......we have moved, and we have been here 9/10 months and this is the 3rd puking virus shes had since living here, shes sick with headcolds/chest colds or random other viruses every 2 weeks. I wish i were over reacting on this, but I'm not.

So...I guess....Advice. I plan on making a new doctor appointment with the new health insurance we have, but......I'm at a loss as to why she could possibly be getting sick all the time. My other 2 kids are not sick all the time. Yeah they catch colds but they are few and far between. My house isnt filthy, She eats decent, Plays outside, does good in school so...I guess I's just at a loss here. Advice? Help?

No shitty comments please.

I would take her to a naturopath, but that's just me.

It could be a number of things.

My best guess would be her being anemic.

What's a naturopath?

1 mom liked this
I demand they look into her immune system

Was she your first? Were you extra cautious when she was a baby? Hand sanitizer. How many antibiotics has she had? Just curious questions.

I never thought of that. This has been going on for 4 almost 5 years now

It's alternative medicine.

If she is vomiting I am thinking it has something more to do with the digestive tract rather than a common cold virus.

Try making a doctor appt. With allergy specialists. Her vomiting may be linked to a food or environmental allergy.

Does she have other notable symptoms?

Yes she was my first, I was but wasn't careful with her, I had her wash hands but I wasn't excessive about it. She's only been on antibiotics a handful of times in her life for things like ear infections.

I'm hoping for her that's what it is over anything else.

But with low iron your body can't function properly. It doesn't get the nutrients it needs and it's much harder to fight off infection.

Does she have any other symptoms of anemia?

Like I said there are so many possibilities of what it could be.

Not that I can see or tell. She got a bad headcold a few weeks ago and went away and she got another cold, and how she started vomiting today which I'm assuming is an entire new virus she has. Otherwise she's been playing and eating normally the past few weeks
