I usually leave it running, but it will leave my 15 year old with my 4&6 year olds. They have a key if they get warm/cold or they can get out and come in. Not sure why that's criminal.

Because so many children and pets are dying in hot cars. There was just a thing on TV . The car sat in a car with it oiff windows up it was in the 80s outside. In 15 mins the inside temp reached almost 100 degrees.  THATS why. Its unsafe . Most cars the windows cant be rolled down without the car running.

Surround yourself with people that add to your life not subtract from it.

No one ever said that the windows weren't down or that the teen didn't have keys or what time this happened.

With the Windows down/doors opened, it's the same as being outside. Do you never let your kids outside in the summer?

Fyi you don't have to start the car to roll the Windows down, the key has to be on though.

They shouldn't have been charged. The 16 yr old should have been smart enough to open the car door.

Yeah that is all very pointless and stupid and now the police are going to be taking this shit WAY too far, all because of the ACTUAL mental fucks in our society.

There is nothing wrong with this at all.
