He's 17, she's my age; 32. I want to have her arrested my dh says my son knew what he was doing and that's there's no need to bring the law in on it.

what would you do?

Ask your dh how he would feel if it was a daughter and an older man.

What's the age of consent in your state? If it's 17 or younger, there is unfortunately, nothing you can do.

I did and he said it was a moot point because we don't have a daughter.

I would cut off contact to her immediately.
Sucks that she would betray you in that way, I would be disgusted.

I'm not sure, I'll check. I just assumed 17 was considered "underage"

As much as I understand your anger I agree with your husband.. By 17 your son was a willing participant.. He is close to being a legal adult and consented to it. Bringing the law into it will ruin her life and screw with your son. They are going to pin your son as a victim, embarrass him, and God forbid any local news catch wind of it. I'd handle this woman to woman and cut her out of your life and try to limit contact with her.

Meaning he would feel differently because of gender stigma.

Ask why a daughter has a right to be protected emotionally and not a son.
