I went to my neice's 4th birthday party this past weekend.

We live a few hours away from my family so this was the first one of Keira's that we have been to.

As Keira was opening her gifts my sister in law handed my other neice (birthday girls older sister who is 7) two gifts to open. (one that she had bought her and one her mother had bought her)

I was surprised.

Do you do this?

I don't.

Kids need to learn that sometimes it's not all about them. Sometimes someone else gets attention and that is OK.

We need to stop feeding this entitlement attitude.

Only on my twins birthday to the other twin. Besides that, hell no.

My mom wants to do that for my toddler when her sisters' birthdays come around, but I've been saying no.

No I don't care for that. Its the birthday child's special day. The other children will get theirs. I don't feel its right to take away from the birthday child.
