Do you allow your kids to have sleepovers?

I was reading in another group that some parents just don't allow them.  In fact just about everyone who replied didn't allow sleepovers.   We do, but only if we know the family of the other child pretty good so I'm starting to think I'm weird or something or if there's some sort of anti-sleepover bandwagon I somehow missed?

Side note:  My kids are elementary school age.  Both of them started having sleepovers about first grade or so.   I can understand not allowing them when your kids are younger.

No, not yet.
My kids don't have close enough friends for that.

At nanas house. He's only 3 1/2 so I'm not sure exactly how I will approach this when he's older.

But if I know and trust the parents I don't see why not.

Ha, my house is the place to be, kids come over and end up staying 3-4 nights..

My sil doesn't allow many sleepovers, however she's a lazy Ass and cheap.

My kids have sleepovers all the time, started with my friends kids and now we have added more as they get older that can stay. I have to stay though if they are the waking me up all night type we don't invite them again.

Sd 9, can have sleepovers at our house, or her cousins house, but that's it.

When DD is older, yes. Now for family, sure! She's only ever spent the night at someone else house once.

My DD 9 yr doesn't have sleep overs at other peoples houses. We are a military family and move a lot so we don't ever really know anybody that well. She also tends to be a bit naive still.

Yup, have since they were 18 months or so. We lucked out and some of our really close friends have kids about the same age and they generally enjoy being around eachother.
