I went out yesterday for the first time with my almost 2 year old and her new harness. I was terrified. I know how many judgemental people there are and I was expecting someone to bark at me or say something insulting.

I ordered the harness off ebay shortly after my DDs elbow dislocated after I was holding her hand at the store. She runs off and if I am holding her hand she drops to the floor and at one time she dropped so fast that it dislocated her elbow of the hand I was holding. We were at the emergancy room for hours and hours until she could be seen to pop it back in.

I know I am sure to be confronted eventually I am sure but I wish people would mind their own business. I shouldn't have to be scared about being confronted about keeping my Daughter healthy and safe.

The harness has little bat wings on the back :) It fits because I call her my little fruit bat <3

Woah, you're way too nervous about what others MIGHT think.

Harnesses I try not to judge because for every parent who uses it out of laziness there's another with a truly difficult child who needs it. Leashes aren't safe though.

Awww, cute.  We only found puppies and monkeys when I went looking for them for my kids.

And screw anyone who is judgemental about their use.  I used them with both of mine because they were runners, and especially when my youngest was a baby because I could not keep up with the oldest while pushing a stroller.

It kept them from running into traffic. I could care less what everyone else thought about them.

Screw the haters. Only you know what is necessary to keep your baby safe. We bought ds a harness a few weeks ago. So far I've only used the tether once. Mostly I just got it for the little backpack, which I've gotten nothing but positive comments on.

What does the little backpack look like?

Ugh, my sil just posted a pic with one on my nephew. Certain crowded places might be understandable but he wears it everywhere. If my sil wasn't 300+ pounds she could probably keep up with him.

I've talked about this with other moms. I do t want to use one but I can understand why they are used. Good luck. Try to ignore the judgemental people.
