Would you let your 14 year old drive alone to school?

I did! It took awhile to get used to but once she had her permit and everything I knew I had to get over it.

Eta: if you lived in a place where it WAS legal like it is here

I live in Nebraska and yes this is another spin off type post. So many people don't know the laws here

No... however, I live in a burb of Atlanta and there are millions of people that live here... most of them drive and drive like crazy people.

Depends on their level of maturity. I was driving at that age with a hardship license. Do they still have those?

 Wow that is so young I can't imagine. Here where I am they can not get their license until they are older than that. I think permits not until 16 here. Even then we shall see how responsible my children are.

Here as long as you live a certain distance away from school you can get a permit to drive to and from school

If that is the legal driving age and the did a driving class and have a license then yes. I love in ma and we have a driving age of 16.

Nope! I love my son but nope. If it was a small town it would be different but he'd need a license.

In our state, a permit is not a license to drive alone, it is a permit to drive with a qualified adult. So, no, I would not let my unlicensed driver drive to school alone.
