A carseat query

Hi all! I need some advice- my son is just shy of 18 months old and he's pretty tall for his age. He has a convertible car seat which is rear-facing, but his legs are bent and resting on the seat in front of him. Is that safe or is it time to forward-face? I'd like to keep him rear-facing as long as possible as he only weighs 19 pounds, but DH thinks it's less safe for his legs to be positioned that way. Thoughts?

Bent legs are fine.
It's much safer to rear face than to turn him.

Plus no one has reported an accident of rear facing child with a broken leg before.

Bent legs are ok. A rear facing seat is outgron when either the height or weight limit is met.

Yep that's what my little guy's position is like. I thought it was fine too, just wanted to make sure. Thanks!

He's fine. He's not big enough to FF.

Legally he isn't big enough to forward face.

Bent legs aren't dangerous.
