Prosecution for abortion?

If abortion were illegal, what do you think the sentence should be and what should the charge be?

Mostly targeted toward the pro-life, or mostly pro life group, out of curiosity.

ETA: In order to keep this post true to real life, forcing sterilization is not an option as it is not legal in this country.  In 1942 there was a case; Skinner v. Oklahoma and the jury decided that to insist upon mandatory sterilization was a violation to the Fourteenth Amendment of the US Constitution. Therefore, under current United States law, forced sterilization is a direct violation to the right of life and liberty as well as equal protection under the law.

mandatory sterilization.  That would handle the issues of unwanted pregnancies and keep irresponsible people from breeding.

I'm not a hardcore prolifer, but I see them call them murders a lot of the time, so your answer would probably be death sentence, paha.

Interesting question. I'm not pro life though, so I can't really think of a reasonable sentence to an unreasonable charge.

Since abortion is a premidated act of killing an unborn baby, then the legal definition  of murder if abortion  became illegal would mean that abortion is murder. They should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law of killing another human being, in this case an innocent and defenseless baby .

Do you think that would be a cruel and unusual punishment according to law? What about charges?

Okay, so your charge would be murder. Fullest extent of the law would be death sentense. You would like to see all mothers who had abortions charged with murder and put to death?

I would say a life sentence and sterilization so that they could never have any more children.
