I'm scared

My husband crashed our car into a fire hydrant. Insurance will not cover it because the cost of damages and how much I still owe is worth way more than the car. I'm pissed bc I just got in Feb and can't drive it unless I pay $5000. I'm trying to find a place that will do auto refinancing for repairs and the cost just have one payment... but no luck... any advice?

if the car is totaled, wont the insurance company give you at least what the car is worth?

Yeah that is odd that they won't pay for it so I guess there is more to that story. Can you trade in the car, and get something else? When FIL owed more in repairs he just traded in, and got a different car instead.

That makes no sense,  the insurance would at least pay something.  You didn't have insurance did you?
