What's with this anterior placenta business?

I've been told since my last 2 ultrasounds that I have anterior placenta and therefore will not feel my baby as much. I still am shocked to hear that every time because this baby girl thinks she's Mia Hamm! She is always kicking and moving and everyone can feel it. I've heard that the baby can get in front of the placenta but is that possible this far along? I'm 30 weeks and my last ultrasound was 20 weeks. Anyone else had a similar situation?

Anterior here, too.  I didn't feel her too strongly until I was mid-20 weeks or so.  Now I couldn't imagine her movements being any stronger, although I do feel them mostly in my sides.  Since the placenta is attached to the uterus, I don't think there's much chance of baby getting in front of it unless something is seriously wrong.  Right?
