Have you ever double dipped - plasma Bank

So here's the deal. I have twins whose birthday is at the end of September.

I want to go all out for their birthday.

I want to do their party at the local carousel. - $125

I want new dresses for them - $80 plus $12 shipping

The birthday presents will cost me $250

The cake is going to be $50

The tiaras I want are $30 and $15 shipping

The glass slippers another $30 and $15 shipping

So I made the decision yesterday to make the money myself since my dh was throwing a bitch fit saying we can't afford it

The plasma bank is a way a young sahm can make extra cash $50 the first 5 times I go and a total of $62 a week after that if I go 2x a week

I have done it before when we were strapped for money

So I called and I said I went before 2 years ago to a different place in the same city she told me that they don't have any affiliation to the other plasma co she said both rely on the person being honest they never check to see if you are going here and going to the other one

The other one would consider me a new donor and it is $40 the first 5 times you go

I could make $90 if I go to both

So

Monday go to the one get $50

Wednesday go to the other $40

Thursday back to the first $50

Saturday back to the 2nd $40

That's $180 in 1 week

Do it again the next week

$360 in 2 weeks

Do 1 more day the 3rd week for each I just snagged $450 in 2 and a half weeks

After that if I hit both places 2x each place per week I would get $107 a week

I could pay it off in no time is this safe?

Here, they run checks on that. I wouldn't do it. Plasma takes 48 hours to replenish.

That can't be good for you.

there is a reason they limit your donations, and most likely they cross reference donation sites for this reason

...uh, I can't imagine that's safe though honestly I don't know much about donating plasma

You need help if you think your health should be compromised for a birthday party. How old are your kids?

I wouldn't so that to myself for a birthday party. Don't get me wrong, I'll donate plasma, but every other day for 2 weeks? I wouldn't do it.

Why don't you find less expensive dresses and gifts? You can throw an amazing birthday party while also choosing less costly options. How old are your twins?

I have donated plasma, but never double dipped. That doesn't sound like a great idea to me.

If they thought it wouldn't harm your health they would let you do it more often cause although they pay you they get sell your plasma for 10x the amount you get.

Don't end up in the hospital by going too frequently.

I agree with this person.
