My SIL is getting married. She is no fun at all and likes to make it so no one else has fun either

There is no way I am going to deal with a 6 hour wedding if no alcohol is involved. I am sneaking some in so is DH.

If it wouldn't cause WW3 we wouldn't go at all

Some people require copious amounts of booze to tolerate. I suggest the specialty flasks that look like other things.

We didnt have have any at my husband and i small reception cause it was at his dads church. This was in iowa though.

Then we were going to have a big reception in ohio for my side of the family and our friends. But we decided to wait to have it when we can get all of our family together. And we were planning on having an open bar.

It just really depends on the person.

I've snuck alcohol into every wedding I've been to. My trusty flask...

I have done that. And I don't even drink much lol. DH's extended family can be very difficult to deal with. SIL and I have been known to have a couple of airline bottles in our purses.

It's sad that you're not respecting the couple's wishes.

You seriously cant go six hours without a drink?  I would get that checked out.

It warms my heart to hear people put their own preferences aside for a very short amount of time to be part of another persons special occasion. I am going to look for a post like that...toodles!

I don't drink much either. I drank on new years and last year on my bday

But my SIL is so horrible to be around.

Staying classy I see.  We don't drink so I guess were squares and no fun.  Ps alcohol does not equal fun.
