Lost and found

I was wondering if any of the moms here are flight attendants and if they could answer my question.......

So our family took a trip to the west coast few days ago and on the way there we left a Samsung galaxy in the seat pocket. I didn't realize it was missing till the next morning ( even though that was just few short hours later). I filled out a form for a lost item, called the airport and the airline but no luck. I called this morning as well  but once again....nothing. So I was curious how well do they really check the pockets of the seats and what are the chances that the tablet was indeed found by another passenger who's is now probably very happy having a new tablet. They told me on the phone that the more valuable items are being sent out to the warehouse and stored there until someone claims it, and because so many people actually lose things on every plane ...it takes a while to process the claims.

What are the chances that I will get it back ....ever?

Did you ever lose anything and were you able to get it back?

Consider that thing gone. High end items rarely get turned in.

I'm sorry. I'm no help here.

I lost my brand new kindle fire on a coach bus once and was lucky enough to get it back, but I'm sure it was because they couldn't figure out the pin. Lol
