She told me to use the blue syringe

My ds has a slight nose bleed from the bulb syringe the doc told me to use to clean the boogers out of his nose.......

What do I do to stop it completely?

I read to pinch his nose for 5-10 mins and lean him forward and that should stop the bleeding.

I did that but now he is spitting up kind of bad and actually threw up some of his milk. I never had this issue with my daughter.

Please help no bashing I already feel like a shitty mommy

Update

I just got off the phone with a nurse she told me to put saline drops up his nose and suction it back out and use Vaseline on the inside, she also said not to worry and if bleeding persists to call them back.

I'm scared to use the blue bulb again but a nose bleed in a baby is even scarier.

Eta

He hasn't spit up anything since I got the nose bleed stopped he did go poop though and that looked normal(thank goodness). M

I did tell the nurse I was worried about him swallowing blood she said it was ok as long as it wasn't huge amounts she said if it is huge amounts to take him in to the hospital.

Get a nose freida! It works way better and is a lot less abrasive on their sensitive noses.

Call the nurse. That doesn't seem normal.

I didnt think anyone recommended those things anymore for this reason alone. I never used them. But as far as that, I have no idea. Call your nurse line or something. Gl

Is it gushing?? Probably just nicked his skin in his nose and it's no big deal...

Did you stick it in too far ? The bulb syringe things a remember were too soft at the tip to cause an abrasion . I would call the nurse or go to the ER
