Autoimmune questions

OK I was just diagnosed with Sjogren's syndrome on Tuesday. My rheumatologist did talk to me but I'll be honset, I didn't process most of it. I've been researching like crazy but I think it would help if I could talk to someone else that's living with this. I'm seriously thinking of making an appointment with my primary doctor just to get his input on this but I feel weird about doing that.

I guess I'm just looking for someone that can relate and give me some tips. Thanks for your time ladies.

My husband's ulcerative colitis is in remission, and he has Type 1 diabetes. I don't know anything about yours :( sorry.

Ask for a specialist. If you ever have questions, ask. There are no stupid questions with things like this.

I have Hashimoto's and suspected Sjogren's (have symptoms, but never tested).

I have a specialist but I won't see her again until October. She wants me on meds for 12 weeks to see if they help. I did ask her a ton of questions but I guess I was a little shocked and I bbarely remember anything she said. They're running more tests to make sure it hasn't had any effects on my organs yet. Hopefully that will all be ok but I really hate the waiting game.

They thought I had RA so I was caught off guard by this diagnosis. Are your symptoms mild? Mine have gotten really bad and I'm stubborn as shit so I absolutely HATE admitting how I feel. It's to the point now where I'm hurting everywhere all the time. :-/ I really hope this medication works for me.

I have RA. But its in remission right now from being pregnant. Stay away from Google girl does you no good! Call your specialist and explain it was a lot to process and you need more info. That's what I did. She explained everything again.

That's not a bad idea. Google has helped a little though because I told her I didn't have symptoms that I actually do have because I didn't understand the question. LOL I also neglected to share many of my symptoms because I thought they were unrelated. I know better now.

My biggest concern is that both my dad and my son have more symptoms than I do. I did call ds's pediatrician and explain what was going on and they want to run some tests just to rule it out.

I have RA and psorasis. Right now no insurance. Only one leg and ankle is swollen badly right now. Which concerns me,usually the body swells equally. If the other does I'm screwed. Won't be able to walk. What is sjorg

It's supposed to mainly attack your moisture producing glands but attacks joints and organs as well. Mine has been bad on my joints. I'm also so damn tired all of the time.

I have an RA/LUPUS combo. I was very confused at first. You must ask questions and hide nothing. :) good luck!

That's so hard for me because I feel like I'm being a whiney bitch. I know that's not the case but it's hard to get over.
