What are the chances?!

People keep asking me what the chances were that I would have another boy. Out of 6 pregnancies, I had 64 different potential gender combinations. I had 1 chance out of 64 to get all boys.

This translates to about a 1.5%. This means that if 200 women are to get pregnant and have 6 children, approximately 3 would have all boys.

It has been a long time since I've done probability, so this could be wrong...lol. It's what I got in my head though when I thought about it.

They are back. It's a baby boy with no signs of genetic issues. :)

my mom had four before she had me. she had five boys and three girls total.

honestly, people think of it as a 50/50 chance, when it's actually wrong. male sperm swim faster than female sperm, so they reach the egg first. but they also die quicker. so if there's no egg to fertilize, all that's left is female sperm, so that's what you get.

so while it's still kind of hard to predict exactly what gender a person is going to get, the chances increase greatly depending on what day y'all were knockin boots.

The chances each of the 6x was 50 percent. That's pretty easy to understand, well not for them.
