After school is out your child gets an invite in the mail. It reads

"come to Jakes summer party" "Pool party, bring a bathing suit and towel"

Plus all the normal times, place and contact info, as well as an RSVP date

With just that info, what do you bring?

Oh and this isn't a trick question.....

UPDATE: the child is 10

Dang. I hit the wrong one. I say a towel and a bathing suit. If it said birthday party, I would bring a present. Just a summer party, towel and bathing suit.

It's not a birthday party, so no present just what the note asks for.

I'd ask the parents if this was a birthday party when I RSVP'd and bring a gift if it was.

its a get together, as a guest, I would bring a small dessert or something the kids would enjoy.

Maybe you should get the invite out, open your phone, and call the number on it And ask the parents?

I'd bring the bathing suit and towel plus something for the kids to enjoy like an outdoor toy, just something small like a ball and bat game you can get for under $5.
