How much is reasonable?

Dh and I own several properties, this is our newest project that will become a rental (we're moving in less than 2 years) anyway, I think 1400, dh thinks 1000 how much do you think is reasonable? should we sell and wash our hands of it? It's in CA , gated community, great school a couple of blocks over...

No Ideas as I live in MA. look around to see what other near it are renting for.

What are other rentals in the area going for? What is the mortgage?

 $1400-It's a HOUSE in California. Hell you may be able to get MORE.

1000 and 1400 are massively different. You need to look up what the price of similar properties go for in that area.

Also we can't tell without knowing more info. Number of BR, BA, total square footage and property.

$1400 sounds reasonable but it really depends on the rates in that area. Here, $1400 would be a steal.
