I'm going anon as not to influence opinions.

So - if you heard someone say they are going to cash in change - and use that money to buy their weekly groceries - what type of judgments or presumptions or thoughts would you have?

No judgement...I've done it before.

None. We have been there before.

Nothing. I'd think they must save a lot of change, cash it in, and use it when it is worthwhile.

That you had a decent amount of change saved to be able to buy any groceries with it... Other than that don't much think about it- it all spends the same way

LOl. I wouldn't assume anything. Once in awhile we cash in our change and buy stuff with it. Last time we cashed it, it totalled $137. We put all our loose bills and change into a jar at the end of the day.

I don't think anything really. We do the same thing when our change jar fills up. We pay for most things in cash and throw the extra in the change jar for whatever we feel we should spend it on.

I would feel bad that they had to cash change in to eat, offer to help out. As a kid my mom would take in cans, not sure which is worse.

Your heart would hurt? So you would assume they were poor?

No judgement. I always savemy change and cash it in when it gets full in the jar. Then I usually use it for something we need that week.
