For free ..it looked just like a hotel suite ...she had a extra queen size bed..32" flat screen tv ..walkin full size bathroom..pull out sofa ...personal refrigerator .etc...so I asked her..how much is your health insurance charging you per day for this she and boyfriend laughed its free...its Medicaid,! Wow ...when did Medicaid start this?!?

Are all the rooms at that hospital like that? Is that the only one they had available? I don't think they make you have it in the lobby because you have Medicaid.

I did too with my daughter 6 years ago...But I also had 12 people in attendance of her birth. Shortly afterward they instituted a 3-person max limit and I'm pretty sure that's my fault. It was a horrible experience anyway and I just had my husband and our mothers with our son. xD

If that was the only thing available, then that's what she gets. Most of the hospitals around here only have private suites now.

Depends on the area and hospital I guess, but honestly who cares?!!!! A healthy baby is all that matters
