Every situation is different.  You can give a child all the tools they need to succeed...and if they make the wrong choices as a young adult and fail to launch it is their own fault.  

Then you have those that do everything for their child and never allow them to learn the tools they need to succeed...in that case it is the parents fault they don't launch.

I think in a lot of cases both parents and child are at fault. The child needs to get their s**t together and if that doesn't happen the parents need to throw them out.
