My 15 year old cousin went to a concert the other night and they posted pictures. One picture shows her and another lady who apparently is of age. In the picture my cousin is wearing really short shorts, they are only a couple inches from her crotch and they are snug fitting. She's also wearing a snug fitting shirt though it's a t shirt so it's covering everything. The shorts are, IMHO, too short for a 15 year old.

The other girl is wearing short shorts as well but not as short.

A male friend of the woman's made a comment about the porn star in the picture.

My cousins mom went ape shit on the guy. He deleted his comment and apologized saying he wasn't talking about my cousin. I didn't see his comment just the responses later and a status update from my cousins mom on how disgusting the man was for comparing her daughter to a porn star.

My train of thought? If you don't want someone thinking that of your daughter (even though he wasn't talking about her kid) then don't fucking allow your child to wear shorts that are that freaking short!!

Sadly you're right. God I want to comment so badly but I know that will start world war 3.

Does she dress like that all the time? Maybe it was just for the concert. But I have to agree, don't wear clothes like that if you don't want a response.

Yes, that's normally the type of clothing she wears.

Seriously, when I counseled for a church camp for one week (9th grade) we had to wait in the halls EVERY morning because inevitably there would be girls who would be dressed in shorts with their butts hanging out, shirts that showed boobs, etc.  This camp isn't super strict, but do expect all kids to dress appropriately.  Couldn't believe parents would send kids to CHURCH CAMP in this stuff.  Their was a rule, no shirts where we saw your bra.  We sent one girl back to change because we could see her bra.  Her solution?  Come out with no bra, which was very obvious!  We sent her back again, but she said that's the only type of shirt she brought  She was none too happy when each female councelor gave her a shirt to wear so she'd be covered the rest of the week.

You and I think alike on this.

I am glad I have trained my kids to be honest with other. if the girls are wearing something that is not appropriate to a boy her brothers will tell her. If the boys are then the girls will them to change. They never complain about it but they know they better listen to their sibling and they always do.
