35th BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS! HELP!

I will be turning 35 Aug 24th !! I want to do something with my husband and I want to hang with my friends, but our apt is so tiny. I don't want everyone cramped in hot ass apt for my birthday. So for those of you that have gone to 35th birthday parties or had one for yourself, what did you do? Was the party you went fun or lame? I know I want to get dressed up and be sexy. After all I'm only 35 and I am still very young, I may not FEEL it but I am.

Ideas?

I don't know of anyone who had a 35th birthday party.  All of my friends and I had 40th birthday parties though.  Most of the time, the party was held at a club.

What an odd year to celibate.

My suggestion......have a small party and wait until your 4Oth to have a big party. 35 is nothing compared to 40!

ETA...I just turned 47 in March.

Lol I'm 25 and don't have birthday parties. I do, however, make an effort to go out for dinner and drinks with DH and friends.

I've never been to one, or heard of one. I'm going to be 35 in March and my plans are having dinner with the hubby, maybe the kids, possibly going on one of our picnic hikes.... maybe I will get a night at the beach so I can soak in the Jacuzzi out of the deal. If you want to live it up, why not just get your hubby and friends together, dress up, and go out?

I'm not understanding how celebrating my 35th is something strange. And for the record 35 is very young. Damn I'm not turning 90!
