My brother was surprised to hear that we live off $2400/month, we think we are doing fine... Bills paid food on table and we have money for extras. He said I should get a job. We have one child who will be starting school this year.

Give it a go opinionated internet mommas

We couldn't do it. Doesn't mean you can't. I don't know your life...;)

That barely covers our mortgage.

If you guys are doing fine, what's the problem? Tell him to mind his business.

My mortgage is $1200 alone, so there is no way we could do it.

We live off $2k and it's a little tight. That extra $400 would make things great.

we make around that much with just my husband working and we are doing fine expecting our fourth baby next month and we are able to save around 500 a month....but we are very thrifty and the cost of living is super low in our area...

Wow I live in lower New York .... Could never do it!
I pay 2000 on rent and utilities alone ... And we live in a tiny townhouse

But if you live in a cheeper place I'm sure it could be done!

Say if your rent and utilities are around $1000.. That leaves $1400 for other bills, food and extras... Totally doable!
