I will try and make this short. I had a woman who was pakastanian that moved in next door. She wanted to become friends and let our kids play together. It was fine. We talked while the kids played. She was very progressive. She was actually more into feminism than me the american. All of a sudden she said she had to go home to pakistan and would return in 2 months. The time passed and her and the kids did not return. We moved and I went back to visit some other friends and they said she came back. I feel as though she was sent away. Maybe an isolated case but we recently moved next door to egyptian musilums. Very nice people our kids are close in age. They invited us over and it went well. I called her the next day and no response. A week later she sent me a text apologizing that she hadnt returned my call. She said something bad happened but she was ok.I havent heard anything else. I havent seen the kids or heard them next door. Its like they vanished. What us going on?? I would think it was us but we have other american friends and playdates. I was being open and giving my kids exposure to all races and religions to foster toleranceand love for all. Please help. Should I leave these poor women alone? Am I getting them in trouble with their husbands?
