50 Shades of Grey The Movie

So ladies, did you read the book? Do you plan on seeing the movie?  I personally had no interest in reading the book and have no interest in seeing the movie. What about you? One more thing, for those women who want to see the movie. Are you going to go with the man in your life or your girlfriends.

UPDATE: Wow i really didn't think i would get such a response, thank you all for making this a very interesting and enjoyable forum, for me anyway lol! I learned a lot :)

I tried to read the first book. I couldn't get into it. I may rent the movie once it's on DVD.

Didn't read the books, not going to see the movie either, it's soft core porn IMO, and that and any porn has no place in our marriage.

I read the book before they became popular, because I trusted someone that I did not know had awful taste. I won't be seeing the movies, even though I know the movie will be better than the books. Because it is absolutely impossible for anything to be worse than those fucking books.

I read the books but personally I found them boring. The story line was predictable and the sex scenes were blandish for my taste. I watched the trailer but I dont have high hopes. I would be surprised if it went higher than 5th place for opening weekend.
Now if they made a movie for the Sleeping Beauty series I would be all over that.

If i remember from the trailer, it's coming out February 2015

Quoting ajdahd13: I read all the books, and plan to see the movie. I was snowed in back in February so I decided to buy the books on iBooks, and liked them more than I thought I would. Either way I planned on seeing the movie. Lol

I read the books. Still trying to decide if I want to watch the movie. I don't like either person playing the leads.

Maybe, I don't have any expectations of what the characters should look like or be like. I know those who read it weren't overly happy with the casting for the guy in it.

Quoting Beenthere3times:

Well then you might like the movie.

Quoting Gianna2014:

I never read the books, because I don't like to read. I know what the storyline was, since everyone I know read it, and told me I have to read it.

I am curious about the movie, though.

Quoting Beenthere3times:

In what way were the books bad?

Quoting poshkat: Read the books, they were really really bad but I couldn't stop myself, it was so bad. I will not watch the movie. If I do I'll wait to rent it, which by the looks of it will be available on redbox soon enough

The story, the writing, execution of the whole thing. All of it was just bad. I couldn't stop, I had to finish it, I need to know if I was right about the end
