my toddler's crib malfunctioned and it could have been tragic

The bottom left rail came loose on Sassy Pant's crib this morning. I heard a raspy gurgling cry in the baby monitor and ran in there. I found her with her body out of the crib and her head in the crib. Her neck was between the left spool and the side of the crib. I got her out fast and she wasn't hurt. She has red marks on each side of her neck.

The crib is a Jenny Lind. Return yours!

Glad she is alright. Was there a recall on it?

I had a similar incident with my oldest and a drop side crib. 8( Sometimes, it just by the grace of God that they are okay. I hope you will be able to sleep tonight. I couldn't sleep for a week.

Omg!!! I'm glad she is ok! That's so scary. I use a pack n play for sleeping out of fear of that happening.

Did you contact the company? I would ASAP if this is an issue they need to know. If it's unsafe it's best to get the news out so they can do a recall.

these recalls are older, most from last year, one from '10. do they continue to recall them? you'd think they'd design them better before creating more.

how scary!! i bet your heart was in your throat when you saw your baby girl like that :(
