I censor somethings but other things? They'll hear about in school. Smh. It's a double edged sword.

There's not really anything to censor. I watch the food channel and hgtv most of the time. Although some of those food shows can be racy, I know.

Are you the same anon with the ten other posts about censoring tv/movies? We get it, you censor.

Personally, I don't think that's like an epic parenting fail. I don't think it's that big of a deal, but I am on the strict side when it comes to media.

My kids are not really censored on what they watch or listen to.

They have enough common sense at their ages (older girls) to distinguish what they like and don't like.

My 12 is sensitive and easily scared, she censors her own choices.

My 6 yr old loves horror movies and gross and gruesome stuff and can handle watching it. So she does.

I've yet to censor my toddler's choices. If we are watching something and it seems to scare her we will then turn it off, if it has no effect then she will watch it with us.

How I grew up and how mine are now, it works well.

I only allow my 2y old to watch educational programs.  Baby first tv channel, Sesame Street ect..

no need to let her watch senseless crap when she can learn something needed.

We do censor what our kids watch because we just feel it is right for our family.

My parents didn't censor anything. I turned out pretty good. Although, During bed time at the age of 2 I told my dad: "Turn off the God damn light". It's a line from the Golden Child which they had let me watch.
