What is the most annoying item on your school supply list? Is it something expensive? Hard to find? A huge amount of one item or name brand only?
I saw one list that asked each child to bring 100 pencils! Why so many?
A. Kids lose too many pencils
B. They are rewriting the textbooks by hand to save money
C. They are going to build a fort on the playground to reenact a historical event.
What supply item makes you shake your head?

I have gotten lucky and never had to buy school supplies. DS's school just has you pay $20 and they supply everything.

Mine has been in school for a month, nothing out of the ordinary to report

Our district doesn't send home supply lists. They take it out of the insane amount of property taxes we pay in our area.

I like this idea. Is it your PTO/PTA that does it or the school district? I wonder if they get a bulk discount on supplies?

My DD's was very normal. Pencils, crayons, glue, folders, stuff like that.

Your kids started school around July 5th? Where the heck do you live?

I still haven't received a supply list, but i think by law in California the school has to supply all needed supplies. I usually get a wish list though. When my oldest was in kindergarten each parent was asked to simply 4 large bottles of purell. That's 100 large bottles for one kinder class. I work in a hospital and i don't think my department goes through that much in a year.

Both of my kids list had soap, baby wipes, and hand sanitizer on it. No normal school supplies, they always supply all of that.
