Medicaid patients are not treated as well as patients with private insurance?

My cousin claims this is true. She used to work in the billing dept. for a hospital.  .She said many of the doctors are not taking medicaid anymore and when they do, they don't get the same care as other patients with private insurance.   She works part time and needed health insurance.  She refused to go on medicaid because of it.

Seems the opposite to me. My sd has been on both. I've noticed a difference.

I didn't have that problem when I was on medicaid years ago.

My experience is that I was treated like a less than. A peasant. Someone they didnt feel obligated to take their time with or even smiled at.

Now I have private insurance I am treated with some respect and they actually seem like they are compassionate about my care.

I know that many doctors no longer take it. No doubt some are treated differently but I doubt its across the board.
