Circumcision is now an elective procedure and medicaid does not cover it at all any more.

They don't cover anything that is an elective procedure...it makes since, being that it's a state funded program...

Most likely because it is elective and their are risks involved, that is why my state's insurance doesn't cover it.

Maybe because in Florida there's a big Latin population that traditionally doesn't circumcise so the rate there may be low enough that they feel comfortable enough not covering it.
